SPROUTING THROUGH STILLNESS is a visual mantra and a gentle reminder that inspiration blossoms most beautifully in moments of stillness and refelction. The central figure, inspired by my study of Pre-Hispanic and Aztec deities of Mexico, sits in a meditative posture embodying serenity and power of inner balance. His form pays homage to Xōchipilli, the Aztec “Flower Prince” (xōchitl = flower, pilli = prince), revered and respected by indigenous communities of Mexico as the patron of artists, musicians, and all who sought to express the sacred through devotion to the arts.

Set against a deep, shadowed background, warm orange petals radiate from his crown, symbolizing the soul’s luminous call toward artistic inspiration and expression, a light illuminated through silence and stillness.

This piece invites viewers to pause, breathe, and remember that true growth and creative transcendence do not arise from forced actions, but from presence with the stillness of the soul and from listening deeply within.
